Reducing greenhouse gas emissions is at the heart of Sibline's sustainability strategy. In line with the cement industry's pathway towards carbon neutrality by 2050, we are committed to lowering CO₂ emissions across our operations through innovative products, process optimization, improved energy efficiency, and the use of alternative fuels and raw materials.
DECO is Sibline's low-carbon masonry cement, developed with a reduced clinker content and a higher proportion of limestone. By lowering the clinker factor—the primary source of CO₂ emissions in cement production
Our Low-Carbon Clinker initiative reduces emissions by optimizing clinker production and incorporating alternative raw materials such as Tuffite during the cooling process. This improves energy efficiency, reduces clinker content in the final cement, and lowers emissions associated with both calcination and fuel consumption.
Sibline is advancing the use of Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF) to partially replace conventional fossil fuels in cement production. RDF supports CO₂ reduction, diverts non-recyclable waste from landfills, and promotes circular economy principles while ensuring efficient kiln performance and consistent product quality.
